Just wave and go
Visa payWave is a contactless method of payment that lets you pay faster with less hassle. The technology built into your card allows you to pay quickly and conveniently, by waving your card over a secure contactless terminal in participating stores. There’s no swiping, signing or fumbling for cash; you just wave and go and you’re ready to go in just a few seconds.
Perfect for every day purchases under $100
With Visa payWave you can wave and go for purchases under $100. Which means it’s the ideal way to pay for every day groceries, petrol, the Sunday paper or coffee before work. And don’t worry if your purchase totals more than $100; you just need to enter your pin.
Where can I use wave and go?
You can wave and go at Woolworths, Coles, 7-Eleven, FoodWorks, IGA, BlockBuster and even Bunnings, with more and more retailers getting wave and go technology every single day.
Safe and secure
Visa payWave cards carry the same layers of security as any other Visa chip card, including Visa’s Zero Liability*, which ensures Visa cardholders are protected from unauthorised transactions. And because your Visa payWave card doesn’t leave your hand during the transaction, you remain in total control of your card at all times.
'Chargeback' is the term utilised when members may request a reversal of a transaction that has previously been approved. Upon investigation of the claim, if proven successful chargebacks will result in the re-crediting of funds to the member’s account and the debiting of such funds from the Merchant’s accounts.
Chargebacks may be prompted for a variety of reasons including unauthorised use of a debit card, an error on the part of the Merchant. It is imperative that members review their BCCU statements to identify any incorrect transactions.
For the majority of transactions, chargeback rights are restricted to a maximum of 120 days from the transaction date. BCCU must adhere to strict timeframes when administering chargebacks on behalf of the member. If you have a Visa debit card issued by us, and you wish to claim a chargeback, it is imperative you contact us as soon as possible. BCCU can be contacted:
-By phone on 9707 6000; or
-In person at 64 Kitchener Parade, Bankstown NSW 2200.
